If you are not already a member and the stuff you have read about on these pages sounds interesting to you, then we would love to welcome to into our club.  There are a few things that need to be done before we will let you join, though.

The Liberty SHO Club is centered around monthly meetings, which are usually just social type events.  We have been typically averaging between 10-18 SHO's at meetings and the owners use the time to chat about many things.  At the meetings, we try to catch up with each other on how the cars are doing, talk about new mods people have made, and try to help each other solve problems they are having.  We have an incredible knowledge base in the group and almost every imaginable problem has been encountered by someone else, so you can draw on that at the meetings.

There is a great deal of variety in the cars at the meetings too:  From a fully track prepared SHO with a welded in roll cage, to a supercharged SHO, to my mildly modded 91, a stock 89, to a brand new stock 99.  So, if you are considering a mod for your car, but really want to see what it will do first, meetings are a good time to find out.  Many people there will let you drive their SHO's or take you out for a spin.  I know I have probably driven or been for a ride in close to half of our 40+ members' SHOs.

However, many of us have become good friends and while our discussions are usually centered around the cars, they do drift off into other happenings in our lives.  We are not just about the cars, we are like a big family, that all happens to love SHO's.

But, we aren't just about meetings.  We also like to attend other events as well.  There are several local Ford Car Shows that we go to.  In fact, our treasurer got one of them to add a SHO Class at the Maple Grove Ford show for 2000 (and in the future) just for us!  We also organize track days (some members went to Summit Point in May, 2000), go to autocrosses, the drag strip, and get our cars dyno'd.

As far as joining our club goes, there are two ways that you can go about it.  First, you can come on out to one of our club meetings.  This will let you meet some the club members and see what the club is all about.  If you like what you see, you can pay the $30 at that time.  Or, if you can't make it out for a while, you can send a check to our treasurer.  I can provide the mailing address upon request.

When you join, you will also receive 4 issues of our quarterly newsletter, SHO n Tell.  We publish it in conjunction with 2 other SHO clubs and it is usually about 28 pages of advertisement-free SHO-related
articles.  You will also get a club T-shirt, once they are back from the Printers.

In order to get involved with all of this fun, send LSHOC an email indicating your interest and he will also answer any of your questions.
