LSHOC Mailing List
If you have used the SHOtimes
email list that is hosted on www.topica.com,
then you are already familiar with the type of email list that I have setup
for the club. If you have no idea what I am talking about, the mailing
list is essentially an efficient way for all club members to contact each
other easily and quickly via email. Any subscriber can send a message
to the mailing list and it is automatically sent out to all of the other
subscribers.
Here are the rules that I have established:
-
You have to be a member of LSHOC to
join the mailing list.
-
You have to sign yourself up if you
are interested - I will not sign anyone up automatically. If you
would like to sign up, but are having trouble, I will gladly help.
-
I will not kick any member off the
list (unless I have a tremendously justified reason).
-
I will not monitor messages, but please
try to keep it related to club business though.
Here is what you need to know to
participate on the mailing list:
SUBSCRIBING TO THE LIST:
-
You can learn more about the list and
subscribe to it on the web at this URL:
http://www.topica.com/lists/lshoc
-
You can also join the list via email
simply by sending a BLANK email to:
lshoc-subscribe@topica.com
-
Once you sign up, I will need to confirm
your subscription at Topica before it becomes active. If you use
an email that I am not familiar with, I will not activate your subscription.
To make sure I know who you are, send me an email
when you subscribe. I am taking this step in order to keep spam to
a minimum.
UNSUBSCRIBING FROM THE LIST:
-
Registered Topica users can unsubscribe
from the list on the web with the click of a button. You can do so on your
list preferences page.
-
Subscribers can also unsubscribe from
the list via email simply by sending a BLANK email to:
POSTING MESSAGES TO YOUR LIST:
-
The list is an open discussion list
meaning all messages get distributed to the entire list. To post a message
to the list, subscribers can send email to:
lshoc@topica.com
READING YOUR LIST ON THE WEB:
-
To read the list on the web, use this
