SHOwagon-Engine Removal

SHOengine Swap

UPDATE
7/24- The SHO engine is in the wagon!!!
I worked all week [in that killer heat] to prepare the engine and tranny to put in the wagon. I ran into some trouble with damage to the SHO tranny. Seems the wreck did a job on the trans axle and the torque converter.
So I had to take the old tranny off the 3.8L engine from the wagon and use parts from that. A local shop - Varga- in New Brunswick, NJ did a great job and got me back in service.
On Friday I had the tranny back on the engine and mounted to the subframe. In the afternoon I worked with Mike and we put the whole setup back up in the wagon. I'll have the pics real soon. Then on Saturday- John and Terri came up from Philly-along with my brother Larry-and we started the hook up process. Lots of wires and special connections. Here's the latest round of SHOwagon pictures. Click on the image for a larger picture.

Well on Saturday, July 17 I removed the original 3.8L engine from 'Thumper'. The table below contains the pictures and engine views. Click on the image to see a larger picture.
I have found that the SHO transmission may be damaged from the accident. I'll be pulling the tranny on the 3.2L SHO engine Monday and take it for inspection or repairs at a local transmission shop. God be with me on this one.....
